Rather than taking my ordinary route, I picked up the Kanc in Conway...it was worth the trip. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of leaf-peepers who, while impeding my progress down the roadway, decided to pull off into a convenient scenic area, thereby bringing the road back into its natural and most pleasant state: empty. Life is good- and so was the weather.

Took the long way home from Maine...
Rather than taking my ordinary route, I picked up the Kanc in Conway...it was worth the trip. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of leaf-peepers who, while impeding my progress down the roadway, decided to pull off into a convenient scenic area, thereby bringing the road back into its natural and most pleasant state: empty. I wish we had that kind of stuff around this area. Beautiful
Might I suggest the Evans notch road from Bethel to Fryeburg next time. Perhaps on the zuke with a local uncle along for the ride.
